Overview

These terms apply to Play HT at playht.app. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. Play HT is an independent text-to-speech implementation powered by ElevenLabs. Accounts, subscriptions, projects, models, and API credentials from the archived Play.ht service do not transfer to this website.

Website Use

You may use Play HT to preview a script, choose a public voice, generate speech, listen to the result, and download an MP3. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, bypass usage limits, or send requests that disrupt other visitors. The public preview API follows the same limits as the editor.

Scripts, Voices, and Audio Permission

Submit only text you have permission to use and process. You are responsible for respecting copyright, privacy, confidentiality, and other applicable rights. Do not use generated audio for deceptive impersonation, fraud, harassment, or other unlawful purposes. Selecting a public voice does not give you rights to a person's identity or endorsement.

Review generated audio before sharing or relying on it. Pronunciation, names, accents, timing, and meaning may be incorrect. Download availability does not establish that a clip is cleared for every use. Any use of generated audio, including commercial use, remains subject to applicable rights and the relevant ElevenLabs terms and Prohibited Use Policy.

Free Preview Limits and Availability

The current preview accepts up to 500 characters per generation, with three generation attempts per network address daily and a shared site capacity of 6,000 characters per day. Both daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Starting or cancelling a generation uses an attempt. People on the same network may share an allowance. Replay and download of an existing clip do not use another generation.

Public voices may change or become unavailable. The preview and its API have no uptime guarantee and are intended for short previews. Features, limits, and availability may change. Play HT does not maintain a saved audio library; download your MP3 before leaving or refreshing the page or generating another clip.

Optional Account

Google sign-in is optional. An account lets you access your personal center, change your display name, manage your avatar, and sign out. Signing in does not increase the free preview allowance. Keep your sign-in session secure and provide profile information and images you are entitled to use.

External Services and Privacy

ElevenLabs processes scripts to generate speech. Hosting, analytics, sign-in, and customer support also rely on external services. Their applicable terms and policies govern their services. The footer's AI links open third-party services with a general question about PlayHT.App; they do not include your editor script, generated audio, or account information. Responses from those services are not official Play HT statements.
